THE EFFECT OF PROFITABILITY AND COMPANY SIZE ON COMPANY VALUE WITH MANAGERIAL OWNERSHIP AS MODERATING VARIABLES IN MANUFACTURING COMPANIES 2016-2019

Abstract


This study aims to examine the effect of profitability and firm size on firm value with managerial
ownership as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies. The population used in this study are
manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2019. This type of research
is quantitative causality and the number of samples used is 252 companies using purposive sampling
method. This study uses secondary data, namely data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange
through the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website and the company's website. Data analysis was
performed using the SPSS 22 test by testing descriptie statistic, normality test, multicolinerity
heteroscedasticity test, autocorelation test, F test, R
2
test, t test, and Moderated Regression Analysis
(MRA). The results of this study indicate that profitability has no effect on firm value, firm size affects
firm value, managerial ownership is able to moderate the effect of profitability on firm value,
managerial ownership is able to moderate firm size on firm value.
