Social Support and Work-Family Conflict in Married Career Women

Abstract


 

Married career women faced with various demands either from work-related or family-related. This circumstance could cause a work-family conflict. Work-family conflict means the married career women can tollerate the conflict between work and family domain. This study aims to determine the impact of social support to work family conflict on married career women. This research used a quantitative method with regression analysis technique. The measuring instrument used in this study is Construction and Initial Validation of a Multidimensional Measure of Work-Family Conflict and The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. The result of analysis statistics proved that there is a negative impact of social support to work-family conflict on married career women. Which means, social support can reduce the level of work-family conflict in married career women.
