Analisis bibliometrik prokrastinasi akademik siswa tahun 2019-2023

Abstract


Academic procrastination has become a serious concern among students and educators because of its negative impact on learning outcomes and academic achievement. To understand research trends and knowledge development in the field of student academic procrastination, bibliometric research has been carried out by utilizing relevant literature sources from 2019 to 2023. The aim of this research is to reduce student academic procrastination behavior at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Yogyakarta through guidance services group.

Procrastination is a behavior that is not good or negative behavior inc1uding; negligent in completing assignments, and lack of punctuality when entering school hours. Based on the results of research in the field, it appears that there are students who carry out acts of academic procrastination, procrastination which is carried out in the form of procrastinating in completing assignments which results in students being hampered in the learning process at school. The bibliometric method was used to collect and analyze data. Parameters identified for analysis included number of publications, most prolific authors, related institutional affiliations, most common research subjects, research methods used, and research trends and patterns. Academic procrastination is a phenomenon that is often found among high school students, including at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Yogyakarta.

This bibliometric analysis provides a better insight into the development of students' academic procrastination at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Yogyakarta during the research period. This information can help researchers, educators, and practitioners understand the latest research trends, find research areas that have not been covered, and plan further studies that can help reduce academic procrastination in the school environment.
