Perkembangan Seni Pertunjukan Tarian Naga Mabuk (Wu ZuiLong) di Provinsi Guangdong

Abstract


China's artistic heritage has been renowned for its diversity and uniqueness since ancient times. One Chinese performing art is the Drunken Dragon Dance (Wu ZuiLong). This performing art is famous for its dynamics, beauty, and ability to amaze the audience. This research aims to describe the development of the Drunken Dragon dance (Wu ZuiLong) in the Zhongshan community in Guangdong Province. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques in the form of participant observation, interviews, and literature study. The data analysis technique was carried out using data triangulation techniques. The research results prove that the Drunken Fist Dance (Wu ZuiLong) combines art, entertainment, philosophy, and cultural heritage, creating a form of martial arts rich in traditional Chinese meaning and values. As part of traditional Chinese performing arts, drunken dragon dance is also part of the cultural heritage that needs to be developed and preserved. The Drunken Fist Dance requires the involvement of China's next generation in developing and preserving it.
