Hubungan antara Kesiapan Belajar dan Kepercayaan Diri dengan Prestasi Belajar siswa SMP Negeri 1 Pleret Kabupaten Bantul

Abstract


This study aims to determine the relationship of learning readiness and self-confidence to student achievement among students of  SMP Negeri 1 Pleret, Bantul Regency. The research subjects involved were grade VIII students totaling 120 students.This research was carried out using quantitative methods using two scales, namely learning readiness (20 items), self-confidence (20 items) and Mid-Semester Summative Assessment (ASTS) scores for 1 Academic Year 2023/2024. Sampling was carried out using cluster random sampling techniques, while research data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis techniques.The results of the analysis showed a coefficient (R) of 0.603 with a significant level of p = 0.000 (p < 0.01), meaning that there is a very significant relationship between learning readiness and confidence with student achievement. Learning readiness with student achievement has a partial correlation coefficient (r) of 0.278 with a significance level (p) of 0.003 (p < 0.01) which means very significant. Self-confidence with student achievement has a partial correlation coefficient (r) of 0.200 with a significance level (p) of 0.036 (p < 0.05) which means significant. Learning readiness and self-confidence contributed effectively by 36.3%.The conclusion is that there is a very significant relationship between learning readiness and self-confidence with student achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Pleret, Bantul Regency. Then readiness to learn with student achievement has a very significant level which means that by controlling self-confidence, there is a very significant positive relationship between learning readiness and student achievement. Furthermore, self-confidence with student achievement has a significant level, which means that by controlling learning readiness there is a significant positive relationship between self-confidence and student achievement.
