Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that began in 2019 brought a lot of changes in life, not least for people who are in Correctional Institutions (Lapas). People who become prisoners or WBP (Penitentiary Inmates) will feel a change, if previously they were able to live freely outside then inside the prison they must be bound and obliged to follow the existing regulations. Coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic that previously occurred and also caused changes in the lives of inmates, these changes can make inmates have a tendency to feel anxious or easily feel afraid or tend to be unsure when to do something. Feelings of uncertainty or anxiety when doing something is one of the characteristics of low self-efficacy, if allowed to drag on it can complicate the lives of inmates in prisons even when returning to society. Self-efficacy is the belief in one's ability to do something or achieve a goal. Therefore, it is necessary to educate the inmates regarding self-efficacy so that the inmates are able to find solutions to their problems. The purpose of this research is to provide psychoeducation as a strategy to increase Self Efficacy with the participants of the post-pandemic women assisted residents. The research method is quantitative using paired sample t test analysis. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant difference in the results of the pre-test and post-test which adds to the information and knowledge of the inmates.
