SUPLEMENTASI PADA IBU HAMIL DALAM PENCEGAHAN STUNTING PADA ANAK

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Ibu hamil memerlukan nutrisi yang cukup untuk menunjang metabolisme dan mengoptimalkan perkembangan janin. Status gizi ibu berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kejadian stunting pada anak. Metode review naratif dilakukan menggunakan data base PubMed dan Google Scholar untuk mengidentifikasi literatur ilmiah berdasarkan kriteria inklusi. Kriteria inklusi yaitu artikel riset yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2014 -2024, teks lengkap dan ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia atau Inggris. Kerangka pertanyaan PEO (populasi, eksposur dan outcome) membantu menentukan strategi pencarian. Kata kunci yang digunakan adalah “suplementasi” DAN “ibu hamil” DAN “stunting” DAN “seng/asam folat/zat besi”. Terdapat 6 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria kelayakan analisis narrative review. Suplementasi zat besi, asam folat, zink dan multimikronutrien bermanfaat untuk pencegahan stunting pada anak. Konsumsi suplemen tersebut pada ibu hamil secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kadar zink, hemoglobin, mengurangi risiko anemia, dan peningkatan berat dan panjang badan saat lahir. Dengan demikian, suplementasi zat besi, asam folat, zink dan multimikronutrien dapat bermanfaat untuk pencegahan stunting pada anak.
