UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MOTORIK HALUS ANAK MELALUI KEGIATAN MENGECAP DENGAN JARI PADA ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN DI TK IT BAITUSSALAM

Abstract


The background of this research is based on the results of initial observations made by researchers at the IT
Baitussalam Kindergarten, Godean District, Sleman Regency. Based on these observations, it is known that the
fine motor skills of children in group A are still very low. For this reason, researchers are motivated to conduct
research with the title "Efforts to Improve Children's Fine Motor Skills Through Finger Tasting Activities in
Children aged 4-5 years in TK IT Baitussalam". The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an
increase in fine motor skills in group A children before and after corrective actions were carried out through
finger tasting activities. This research was carried out in three cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely
planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The method of data collection using the instrument of the work.
The results of the acquisition in the first cycle showed that children's learning completeness still reached 53%.
Complete learning in the first cycle is not as expected. Therefore, it is necessary to improve in cycle II. The results
obtained from cycle II showed that there was an increase in children's learning mastery. However, the learning
completeness still reaches 67%. And the results of the third cycle showed that the percentage of children's learning
completeness increased very well reaching 87%. The conclusion in this study is that finger tasting activities can
develop fine motor skills in group A children at TK IT Baitussalam, Godean District, Sleman Regency. Based on
the conclusions of the research, it is recommended: (1) Kindergarten Education Teachers should be able to apply
finger tasting activities as an effort to develop children's fine motor skills. (2) Parents should provide various tools
or media such as ink, watercolors, paper, and picture patterns, and are willing to teach their children to do finger
tasting activities at home.
