MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN MELALUI KEGIATAN MENGENAL POLA ABC-ABC DENGAN BERBAGAI MEDIA DI KELOMPOK A3 TK ABA DADAPAN

Abstract


Cognitive in children is an ability or desire ability that allows individuals to solve problems. From several studies
on cognitive abilities, it shows that cognitive is very important to be developed, because the ability holds an
important influence in a person's life. Therefore, cognitive abilities need to be developed from an early age. Based
on the results of initial observations, the child's cognitive condition is low, the work that the child produces is not
optimal. Researchers provide action through pattern recognition activities so that classroom activities become
more fun for children. The method used in this research is a classroom action research method which consists of
3 cycles. Each cycle consists of several stages, namely planning, action and observation and reflection. The
research has been declared successful with the success criteria reaching 75%. The subjects in this study were
children aged 4-5 years in TK ABA Dadapan Godean which consisted of 8 boys and 7 girls. Data collection
techniques through observation and documentation. In the first cycle, the child's cognitive ability increased by
60%, this indicates an increase of 40% from pre-action to the first cycle. From the second cycle, the child's
development experienced a significant increase reaching 80%. In other words, children's cognitive abilities can
be improved through pattern recognition activities using various media.
