UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KEAKSARAAN ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN MELALUI MEDIA PLAYDOUGH DI TK PKK 98 GIRILOYO
Abstract
the ability to recognize letters in children aged 5-6 years. This type of research is Kemmis & McTaggart's CAR
model with 3 cycles. The object of the research is to solve the problem of children's literacy skills with playdough
media in letter-forming activities, while the subjects are group B children aged 5-6 years in TK PKK 98 Giriloyo.
The independent variable of the study was playdough media in the activity of forming letters, while the dependent
variable was the literacy ability of children. The results of the study show that the implementation of letter-forming
activities with playdough media is proven to improve children's literacy skills. In cycle 1, one color of playdough
media was used so that the achievements were not as expected, namely 0% very well developed, 60% developed
as expected, 40% started to develop, and 0% not yet developed. In cycle 2, two colors of playdough media were
used so that the child's development increased more than cycle 1 with the results of developing very well 20%,
developing as expected 60%, starting to develop 20%, and not developing 0%. Furthermore, in cycle 3, the
playdough media used more colors (more than 3 colors). In cycle 3, it looks like the child is more enthusiastic so
that 75% develops very well, develops as expected 25%, begins to develop 0% and has not developed 0%.
