MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF ANAK DALAM MENGELOMPOKKAN SIFAT BENDA DENGAN METODE EKPERIMEN

Abstract


The problem that arises in this study is how the application of experimental methods can improve children's cognitive
abilities. This study aims to describe the application of experimental methods to improve early childhood cognitive
abilities through experimental activities carried out in 3 cycles. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR),
with the research subjects being 5 children in group B of Irsyadul Ibad Kindergarten in the academic year 2021 –
2022. The implementation of this research was carried out in 3 cycles where in each cycle there were 4 stages
consisting of (1) Planning (2) Action Implementation (3) Observation (4) Reflection. Data collection uses observation
techniques and is processed through the percentage of completeness or classical learning success. Thus, based on the
analysis of the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of the experimental method can improve
the cognitive abilities of children in Kindergarten Irsyadul Ibad, District Susukan, Semarang Regency, with the
achievement of completeness or learning success reaching 100%. It is recommended that kindergarten teachers use
the experimental method to improve the cognitive abilities of kindergarten age children (group B).
