PENINGKATAN MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA TEKA-TEKI SILANG DI SD NEGERI 1 JAMBUKIDUL

Abstract


This study aims to: (1) increase students' interest in learning and (2) improve student learning outcomes using a
problem based learning model assisted by crossword puzzles. The research design is classroom action research.
The research subjects were 5th grade students of SD Negeri 1 Jambukidul. This study uses a research model from
Hopkins which is carried out in two cycles of action. Each cycle consists of two meetings. Each cycle contains
planning, implementation, observation, and reflection activities. The instrument used was a student interest
questionnaire and a test. The data analysis technique was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner. The
results showed that: (1) there was an increase in students' interest in learning. The interest of students in the precycle criteria is low by 13% and the criteria being 87%. The interest of students in the first cycle of moderate
criteria is 9%, high criteria is 78%, and very high criteria is 13%. Interest of students in the second cycle of high
criteria 35%, and very high criteria 65% and (2) an increase in student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle of
students who completed 0% and did not complete 100%. In the first cycle, 35% of students completed and 65% of
students did not complete. In cycle II, students complete 100% and not complete 0%.
