PENERAPAN MEDIA CERITA BERGAMBAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA NYARING DAN MINAT BELAJAR BAHASA INDONESIA PADA SISWA KELAS 2 SD NEGERI SAWANGARGO TAHUN PELAJARAN 2021/2022

Abstract


This study aims to improve reading aloud skills and interest in learning Indonesian in grade II
SD Negeri Sawangargo, Salaman District, Academic Year 2021/2022. This research is a
classroom action research which consists of three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages,
namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 13
students of class II SD Negeri Sawangargo. The instruments used were observation,
questionnaires, and documentation. The data in this study are divided into two types, namely
quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data were obtained to find the acquisition
score. While the qualitative data were analyzed using data analysis techniques which consisted
of presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results showed that after using pictorial story learning media in learning with Indonesian in the first cycle, the score for reading aloud skills
was 61.5% having good reading aloud skills. Meanwhile, 54% of students are interested in
learning Indonesian language. In cycle 2, the score of reading aloud skills as much as 76.9%
have good aloud reading skills. Meanwhile, 70% of students are interested in learning
Indonesian.
For the implementation of cycle 3, it was obtained that the score of reading aloud skills was
85% having good reading aloud skills. Meanwhile, 85% of students are interested in learning
Indonesian language. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in reading aloud skills
and an increase in interest in learning Indonesian in grade 2 SD Negeri Sawangargo, Salaman
District.
