UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGHUBUNGKAN BUNYI HURUF DENGAN SIMBOL MELALUI MEDIA LOOSE PARTS PADA KELOMPOK B DI TK ABA AL HIKMAH
Abstract
develop as expected. This study aims to improve the chldren ability to connect the sounds of letters and symbols
through loose parts media. This method was chosen because in learning to connect sounds and symbols it is
carried out in a pleasant atmosphere through playing. In playing activities, it will be easier for us to use interesting
and vaious media, such as loose parts media. Susanto (2017) suggests that learning through play is an effective
learning technique in early childhood. So, through playing children will gain more experience that is useful for
their development. Classroom action research is carried out by improving teacher performance regarding the use
of loose parts media in playing activities, which is expected that it will increase children's ability to connect letter
sounds with symbols. The research subjects were group B, which consisted of 5 children and the teacher. The
research flow consists of four activities carried out in each cycle, namely: planning, implementing actions,
observing, and reflecting. In the implementation of this study, the instrument used to collect data is children’s
observation checklist sheet. The results showed that in Group B there was an increase in the average percentage
of children's ability to connect letters and symbols from before the action to cycle 3, which is pre-cycle 57%, cycle
1 reached 60%, cycle 2 reached 80% and cycle 3 reached 100%. So it can be concluded that the application of
learning through loose parts media can improve children ability to connect letter sounds with symbols at group B
in TK ABA AL HIKMAH
