UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS UNDANGAN RESMI MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) DI KELAS XI AKL 3 SMK NEGERI 1 TANJUNG

Abstract


The aim of this study is to know how the use of the Problem Based Learning Model can increase the writing ability
in formal invitation of XI AKL 3 students of SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung. This research is a classroom action research
which is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consist of four stages, those are: 1) planning, 2) implementation,
3) observation, and 4) analysis and reflection. Data collection techniques include observation, test, and
document analysis. Data were analyze using descriptive qualitative and quantitative technique. In the first cycle,
the total of students reach KKM only 0,33%. In the second cycle, the total of students who reach KKM about
0,77%. Learning increased by 0,44%. The average value achieved in the second cycle increased into 78,44. This
represent the increase of 6,56 point. The result showed that the use of Problem Based Learning can improve the
writing skill of formal invitation of students of XI AKL 3 SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung
