PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN MEDIA KARTU KATA PADA MATERI KOSAKATA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS 3 SD NEGERI KEBONSARI KABUPATEN MAGELANG

Abstract


This classroom action research aims to improve vocabulary learning outcomes in the sentences of third grade students
at SDN Kebonsari Elementary School, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency. Based on the researchers' initial
observations, the learning carried out by the teacher was carried out by lectures, assignments, questions and answers,
and classical discussions. The learning process gives low learning outcomes. Therefore, the researchers applied the
Problem Based Learning learning model. The subjects of the action research were third grade students at SDN SDN
Kebonsari, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency, semester 1 of the 2021/2022 academic year. The research subjects
consisted of 7 students including 3 male students and 4 female students. The research was conducted on 27 August
2021 and 9 September. The research instrument was in the form of teacher activity observation sheets, student
worksheets, formative test assessment sheets for cycle 1, cycle 2, and cycle 3. The results obtained from the application
of the Problem Based Learning learning model were an increase in the learning outcomes of third grade students at
SDN Kebonsari District. Borobudur, Magelang Regency. The results of the first cycle of action are 69.28% of students
who get results. Beyond the KKM, which is only 30.72% of students who have not been able to exceed the KKM. While
in the second cycle 75.42% of the students have been able to exceed the KKM. Then in the third skuls there are 82.14%
of the students who have been able to exceed the KKM. The conclusion in this action research is the application of Problem Based Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes. The way of learning and
understanding of the material affect the learning outcomes. Suggestions in this action research are: 1.) In teaching
and learning activities the teacher needs to pay attention to the needs of students, the physical condition of students
and the psychology of students so that learning objectives can be achieved. 2.) Lesson plans should be carefully and
precisely prepared including evaluation so that the learning objectives that have been set can be successful.
