PENINGKATAN EMPATI PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DENGAN TEKNIK SOSIODRAMA DI KELAS XI MIPA 2 SMA NEGERI 1 TORUE

Abstract


Empathy is the capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing from within their frame of
reference, that is, the capacity to place oneself in another's position. Empathy is also a sense of caring for others,
a sense of sharing what is felt and experienced by others, whether happy, sad, happy and difficult that is shown
through verbal or non-verbal language. Therefore, talking about empathy, it will not be separated from caring for
one another and the others. As an effort to increase students' empathy, in this research, the researcher applied
one of the guidance and counseling services namely group guidance services. The method used in this research is
Guidance and Counseling Action Research (GCAR). The subjects of the research are the researcher in
collaboration with peer counseling teacher at school, while the objects of the research are 6 students of class XI
MIPA 2 of SMA Negeri 1 Torue who have a low empathy. The data collection was done through observation,
interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used by the researcher is quantitative data analysis.
Based on the research that has been done by researcher, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the sense
of empathy for students in class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Torue from cycle 1 to cycle 2
