UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA TEKS EKSPOSISI ANALITIS MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) PADA SISWA KELAS XI MIPA

Abstract


Problem Based Learning or Problem Based Learning is a learning model with a focus on real problem solving,
a process where students carry out group work, feedback, discussions that can serve as a springboard for
investigations and investigations and final reports. Thus, students are encouraged to be more actively involved in
learning materials and develop critical thinking skills. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which
aims to find out the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve students'
reading skills in Analytical Exposition text material in class XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Beo in the 2020/2021
academic year. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model had a positive impact
on improving students' reading skills. In the beginning (pre-test) the scores tended to be low and only 2 people
exceeded the KKM, after using the PBL learning model in cycle 1, the students' scores increased, although there
were still some who had not reached the KKM. And in cycle 2 (post-test) the student's score continued to increase,
where all students had reached the KKM and even exceeded the KKM. Based on the results of the study, it can be
concluded that the problem based learning (PBL) learning model can improve the ability to read analytical
exposition texts for class XI MIPA 1 students at SMA Negeri 1 Beo in the even semester of T.P 2020/2021. With
the post-test results, the score of 95 is obtained 1 students with a percentage of 0.12%, a score of 90 obtained by
2 students with a percentage of 0.24%, a score of 85 obtained by 1 student with a percentage of 0.11%, a score
of 80 obtained by 3 students with a percentage of 0.32%, the value of 75 obtained by 2 students with a percentage
of 0.2%. The highest score is 95 and the lowest score is 75
