MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS TEKS PROSEDUR SISWA KELAS IX SMP NEGERI 2 SUNGAI APIT TAHUN PELAJARAN2021/2022 MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING

Abstract


Based on the observations that the authors made looking at the process of learning English in class IX SMP Negeri
2 Sungai Apit, the authors saw that from 100% of students there were still 40% of their learning outcomes below
the KKM. The purpose of this study is to improve learning outcomes and student motivation using the Problem
Based Learning learning model on the procedure text. This classroom action research was conducted in class IX
semester 1 of the 2021/2022 academic year with a total of 12 students. This research was conducted in 2 cycles
and each cycle consisted of one meeting. The stages in each cycle consist of planning, action, observation and
reflection. For data collection sourced from tests, observations, interviews, and field notes. The results showed
that learning using the Problem Based Learning learning model can increase student motivation so that student
learning outcomes on procedure text also increase. In the implementation of cycle 1, the percentage of learning
completeness that reached KKM 72 was 15% increased to 80% in the implementation of cycle II.
