UPAYA MENINGKATKAN AKTIFITAS BELAJAR MELALUI METODE PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING PADA MUATAN PELAJARAN IPA KELAS VI SD NEGERI 4 SAWAHAN KABUPATEN NGANJUK

Abstract


This research is based on the observations and experiences of researchers, that science learning activities in
elementary schools are still low and are still teacher centers. As a result, the classroom atmosphere is passive and
boring. This can be seen from the students' mastery of science concepts which is relatively low. So the researchers
tried to use the Problem Based Learning Method in learning the material characteristics of plants, animals and
their environment, with the aim of knowing the implementation of learning with the Problem Based Learning
Method and increasing student learning activities. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning Method
is one method that can be used to improve students' understanding of a subject. The increase in the class average
score obtained can be used as evidence that using the Problem Based Learning Learning Method can improve
student learning activities. Meanwhile, suggestions that can be submitted to teachers should the Problem Based
Learning method be applied in activities, especially for science material for elementary schools, considering that
this model is very relevant to increase student learning activities so that they are able to study more diligently.
