MENINGKATKAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI KELAS X SMA METHODIST CHARLES WESLEY

Abstract


Problem Based Learning (PBL) is learning that is done by exposing students to real problems in everyday life so
that students can develop their own knowledge in solving problems and seeking various kinds of solutions, and
also encouraging students to think creatively. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in creative
thinking of students in class X Methodist Charles Wesley High School Medan City through the Application Models
of Problem Based LearningLearning (PBL) in biology learning, the method used was Classroom Action Research
(CAR), where the results showed that, the application of the problem based learning model can improve creative
thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by an increase in students' creative thinking in
cycle I, cycle II and cycle III. The results of students creative thinking in the first cycle was 72.75% in the quite
creative category, in the second cycle it increased to 79.00% in the creative enough category, while in the third
cycle it increased to 83.63% in the creative category.
