Abstract


This study aims to determine the increase in student activity and learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based
Learning (PBL) model to the science content of the fourth grade students of SDN 1 Ngrayung. This research is a
classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. The method of data collection is done by means of observation.
The results showed an increase in the achievement and learning activities of fourth grade students of SDN 1
Ngrayung in science learning content. This is shown from: (1) The results of observing student activities showed
an increase in listening activities from 86% to 88%, oral from 45% to 61%, emotional from 65% to 84%, visual
from 35% to 78%, writing from 65% to 73%, motor from 39% to 69%, and mental from 66% to 68%. (2) The
increase in the average value of the class from cycle I to cycle II increased by 4%, namely from 80 to 92. In cycle
2 the category of very high scores of students increased by 100%, from 4 students to 8 students
