Abstract


Classroom Action Research entitled Application of Concrete Objects Media in Improving Mathematics Learning
Outcomes of Class II Students of SD Negeri 2 Karangsari Year 2021/2022 aims to improve learning outcomes
of class II students of SD Negeri 2 Karangsari by applying concrete object media.
This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research was carried out in two cycles, with each cycle
consisting of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were second
grade students of SD Negeri 2 Karangsari, totaling 9 students. Sources of data come from students, colleagues,
documents, and researchers. Data collection techniques are observation, tests, and documentation. Data
analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and descriptive statistical analysis. The research
procedure is a research model according to Suharsimi Arikunto.
The results showed that through the application of concrete objects media can improve learning outcomes of
Mathematics from cycle I to cycle II. The implementation of the first cycle has achieved an increase although it
is not significant, but in the second cycle the increase has seen a lot of improvement. The conclusion of this
research is that the application of concrete object media can improve mathematics learning outcomes for second
grade students of SD Negeri 2 Karangsari.
