PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI GREETING CARD DI KELAS 8C SMP NEGERI 3 PURWODADI TAHUN PELAJARAN 2021/ 2022

Abstract


The activity and mastery of the Writing competency of grade 8C SMP Negeri 3 Purwodadi students on Greeting
Cards material is still weak, as indicated by the classical completeness of the daily test Greeting Cards material
for the 2020/2021 academic year which reached 69.23% of students who have completed. The purpose of the
study was to improve the English learning process in order to increase the activity and mastery of the student's
Greeting Cards competence by applying the Project Based Learning model. The scenario is carried out using
Project Based Learning steps. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out in two
cycles. Each cycle includes four stages of activity, namely: Action planning, Action and observation
implementation, and Reflection. The results showed that the Greeting Cards competence of students increased
from the initial condition of 69.23% to 81.81% in the first cycle, and increased again to 86.36% in the second
cycle. Based on the observation sheet, students' English learning activity increased from the first meeting in the
first cycle to the second meeting in the second cycle.
