Abstract

The aim of classroom action research (CAR) is to reduce students' misconceptions about electromagnetic
induction material by utilizing a virtual lab and to increase students' understanding of electromagnetic induction
material. In this study there are 2 data collection techniques, namely observation and assignment or assignment.
Data obtained from a two-level multiple-choice diagnostic test, to determine the extent to which students
understand the material. And to detect misconceptions that occur in students. The research was carried out in the
odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The lowest number of questions answered correctly by students
was 30 questions with a percentage reaching 75%. Students who get the lowest number of correct answers are 1
person. Meanwhile, the highest number of questions answered correctly by students was 40 questions with a
percentage reaching 100%. Students who get the highest number of correct answers are 6 people. Students who
get the lowest number of correct answers cannot be said that they do not understand the concept, as well as
students who get the highest number of correct answers cannot be said to understand the concept, therefore it is
necessary to see whether the reasons they choose for each answer are right or wrong.
