PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK

Abstract


Current learning requires students to be able to master 21st century skills consisting of critical thinking, creativity,
communication, collaboration and higer order thinking skills (HOTS). But in fact learning is still teacher-centered
and teachers still often teach in a monotonous way. In addition, online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic
also makes students tend to be passive when face-to-face learning is limited. This makes learning ineffective and
learning outcomes low. Based on these problems, it is necessary to use a learning approach that can improve
student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the scientific approach on student
learning outcomes. The method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles, each
cycle consisting of two meetings. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet to measure the
application of a scientific approach, test and non-test instruments to measure learning outcomes. The data analysis
technique in this research is quantitative descriptive. The results of observations of teachers in the first cycle are
73.00%, then the results of observations of students are 72.78%, then in the second cycle the results of observations
of teachers are 92.78%, then the results of observations of students are 92.72%.. This is evidenced by an increase
in learning in the process and learning outcomes of each cycle. The completeness of the process assessment in the
first cycle reached 60%, and in the second cycle it increased again to 80%. Completeness of learning outcomes in
the first cycle reached 50%, and the second cycle increased to 90%
