PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X MIPA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI
Abstract
in class X MIPA 3 SMAN Titian Teras H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti in the 2021/2022 academic year in learning
Biology on Virus and Bacteria material through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model (
PBL). Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted through 3 cycles. The data collected in this study
consisted of quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data obtained from test results are processed with
a percentage description. The scores obtained are averaged to find students' critical thinking skills. Qualitative
data obtained from the observation of the implementation of learning. The results showed that the application of
the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in the Biology learning material on Viruses and Bacteria
could improve students' critical thinking skills, there was an increase in critical thinking, the average value of
students' critical thinking skills in the first cycle was 76.35 with the percentage of completeness is 58.82% (less),
the average value of students' critical thinking skills in cycle II increases to 78.35 with a percentage of
completeness 70.58% (enough) while in cycle III the average value of students' critical thinking skills increasing
to 84.29 with a percentage of 88.23% (very good).
