PENGARUH PENDEKATAN PMRI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA SD

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of the PMRI approach for the mathematical problem solving
abilities of elementary school students. This research uses experimental quasy with a pretest-posttest control group
design approach in population of 97 students (three classes) in SD Negeri 18 Saok Laweh with an equivalent ability
level and two classes were taken as a sample with a total sample 50 students. IV class as an experimental group,
while V as a control group. The independent variable in this research is effect of PMRI approach, while the
dependent variable is mathematical problem solving ability of elementary school students. Data problem-solving
abilities were obtained through the description test. Data were analyzed by t-test. The t-test results obtained tcount
of 6.167 and ttable of 1.677 with a significance level of 5%. Then it can be interpreted that tcount> ttable, then H0 is
rejected. The data shows that learning by implementing the PMRI approach can significantly improve
mathematical problem solving abilities.
