PAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL)

Abstract


The results of observations on class XII students for the 2020-2021 academic year show that students'
mathematical communication skills are still low with the teacher center learning process. Researchers are
interested in using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve students' mathematical communication
skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models to
improve students' mathematical communication skills. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR)
in class XII students in the 2021/2022 academic year. Data collection techniques through observation and tests.
The instruments in this study were written tests in the form of test questions in the form of descriptions to measure
students' mathematical communication skills and observation sheets to measure students' learning activities. The
subject matter is presented as material for statistics. The results of this study indicate that the use of Problem
Based Learning (PBL) learning models can improve students' mathematical communication skills.
