EVALUASI PROGRAM PENGAJARAN BIPA − SUATU PERSPEKTIF PELAJAR ASING

Abstract


Program Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing - BIPA) is one of the programs aimed at teaching and promoting Indonesian language in the world. The objectives of the program are vital in establishing the position of Indonesian language in the modern world. In the present paper I am making an attempt to describe BIPA program from theoretical (teaching materials) and practical (BIPA course evaluation) points of view. The program's structure and its application (language course) are analyzed in order to determine the main problems faced by both - the teachers, as well as learners. In author's opinion, some critical remarks about BIPA are much needed, in order to improve the program, so that the promotion and teaching of Indonesian language become more effective and more comprehensive.
