Analisis Teoritis Penggunaan Multimedia Interaktif Untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran di Era Revolusi Industri 4.0

Abstract


The continuous development in information and communication technology field has led to various alternative learning methods and media to improve the quality of learning and education. This article aims to conduct a theoretical analysis of the use of interactive multimedia as an IT-based learning media in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Interactive multimedia is an Information Technology (IT) based learning media that combines various media such as text, images, audio, video, and animation with links and tools for navigation and interaction. Based on David Ausubel's Meaningful Learning Theory, Constructivism Theory, Richard Mayer's Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning, and Edgar Dale’s Cone of Experience, the use of interactive multimedia in learning supports student active learning, involving high-level cognitive processes, directing students to construct knowledge independently, and involves several learning styles at once. The use of interactive multimedia in learning has attention functions, affective functions, cognitive functions, and compensation functions. The use of interactive multimedia in learning can improve the quality of learning and ultimately can support the achievement of learning goals.

Perkembangan terus menerus dalam bidang teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah memunculkan berbagai alternatif metode dan media untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis teoritis penggunaan multimedia interaktif sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis IT di era Revolusi Industri 4.0. Multimedia interaktif merupakan media pembelajaran berbasis Information Technology (IT) yang menggabungkan berbagai media seperti teks, gambar, audio, video, dan animasi yang disertai link dan tools untuk navigasi dan interaksi. Berdasarkan Meaningful Learning Theory David Ausubel, Constructivisme Theory, Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning Richard Mayer, dan Cone of Experience Edgar Dale, penggunaan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran mendukung student active learning, melibatkan proses kognitif tingkat tinggi, mengarahkan siswa mengkonstruksi pengetahuan secara mandiri, dan melibatkan beberapa gaya belajar sekaligus. Penggunaan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran memiliki fungsi atensi, fungsi afektif, fungsi kognitif, dan fungsi kompensasi. Penggunaan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran serta pada akhirnya dapat menunjang pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran.
