Pembelajaran Layanan (Service Learning) pada Tingkat Sekolah Menengah : Program Kerja Lapangan
Abstract
Service Learning in America is one of the innovations that developed in the school which was originally developed by John Dewey through his leaning by doing concept. The concept of service learning is also applied in Indonesia, which was adopted in various community service programs in schools. The purpose of this study was to find out the Field Work Program as a service learning practice in high schools in Indonesia. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The source of research data comes from research sources and from literature. This study uses data collection techniques such as interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that one of the service learning programs in the community developed at SMAIT Nur Hidayah was through extracurricular activities namely the Field Work Program. This Field Work Program is one form of service learning carried out by students by providing services in the form of teaching recitation or TPA. This activity has a positive impact, for the students themselves, for the school and for the surrounding community.
