Abstract

Social skills of early childhood have not developed as expected. This is evidenced by gadget technology, which makes children more fun playing games for hours. In addition, the learning methods used at school are only in the form of lectures and LKA so that less knowledge is obtained to properly socialize.Traditional games that are now rarely found are a game activity that grows and develops in certain areas, which are loaded with socio-cultural values and values in people's lives and are taught from generation to generation. Social skills, are the primary needs that children need to have as a provision for independence in everyday life in their environment by developing children's interaction activities with others (Kurniati, 2016: 2.8).One of the traditional games is the game 'Batur Baturan'. In this game children can be taught about queuing according to their turn, accepting defeat, and working together which are all aspects of social skills. The traditional game is expected to improve the social skills of early childhood so that children are able to interact with the environment optimally.
