Optimalisasi Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Power Point di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kalasan, Sleman, D.I. Yogyakarta

Abstract


Talking about the quality of education cannot be separated from the learning process in the classroom. Learning in the classroom includes two important aspects, namely teachers and students. In the learning process there are several components that are interconnected in order to achieve educational goals. One of the important components is the existence of learning media. As a component of the system, it means that the media absolutely must exist or must be used in every learning. It is said so because if one of the components is not present then the results obtained will not be maximal. However, the reality is that mastery of learning media is still a problem for teachers in most schools, including one at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kalasan. Some teachers have not maximized the use of learning media in the learning process. The purpose of Community Service (PkM) is to optimize the use of power point-based learning media.

The implementation method is done by classical and demonstration methods. Meanwhile, the stage begins with an assessment. Second, counseling and training. Third, the mentoring process. Fourth, workshops on making learning media in each subject taught by each teacher at school.

The results of the service show that learning activities increase after the teacher attends a powerpoint optimization workshop as a learning medium.
