Pelatihan Qira’atul Khabar bagi PEBAKOM dalam rangka penguatan kemampuan berbicara bagi Arabic non-native speaker

Abstract

Reading news (qira’atul khabar) in Arabic is one of the methods of creativity training in both reading and speaking skills. This study explains how qira’atul khabar training helps students of PEBAKOM UiTM Malaysia increase their reading and speaking skills. The training is held online via the Zoom Meeting application through lecture series and drill method. At the end of the program, a mini-competition of reading news in Arabic is held among the students as an evaluation. Technically, the students send their videos, and the performance is scored by the judges from UiTM and Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. The result shows that Arabic news training helps the students in practicing Arabic dialects in reading Arabic news, translating text, preparing the performance, and editing the video, so the final product of the Arabic news video is excellent and professionally recognized.
