Abstract

The Undergraduate Informatics Study Program at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan has a memorandum of agreement with Bebras Indonesia. Bebras Indonesia is part of an international initiative to promote computational thinking to teachers, students, and the wider community. The Bebras bureau of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan identified that the participation of Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools for the last three years was still low. This fact indicates that understanding the value of computational thinking and the potential for achieving academic achievement in computational thinking has not been distributed to teachers and students in Muhammadiyah schools. The workshop was conducted for teachers and students representing Muhammadiyah schools in the Yogyakarta area. The workshop program is in the form of socialization of the Bebras Indonesia programs, socialization of computational thinking, and training on learning media for computational thinking. The workshop results succeeded in increasing teachers' understanding of computational thinking and increasing students' motivation to participate in the national computational thinking competition in the November 2022 period.
