Upaya peningkatan karakter intellectual humility sebagai gerakan anti-bullying di sekolah

Abstract


The phenomenon of bullying in schools is a challenge that requires regular preventive and curative efforts. The role of guidance and counseling teachers and collaboration with teachers, school principals, students and parents is the key to success in handling this issue. Character improvement is an alternative in an effort to prevent students from bullying at school. The character of intellectual humility is a central virtue in developing many other positive characters. Humility (intellectual humility) is a self-prevention to remain humble, not arrogant, reflect positively on oneself, be open to information and not be arrogant. Through this service, the written article describes the implementation of the initial service activities. The activity began with a pre-test, ice breaking, brainstorming and focused discussion regarding the topic of bullying and ended with a post-test. This writing approach is qualitative by examining the results of discussions and student reflections after carrying out service. The results of the reflection stated that bullying does not only occur physically but non-physically or in verbal and non-verbal forms. The psychological dangers of being a victim of bullying have many impacts on academics. students understand bullying definitively, the impact and urgency of preventing bullying.
