Pemberdayaan kelompok pengrajin kayu tunas karya Dusun Gumawang melalui program kemitraan masyarakat

Abstract

Gumawang is a village located in Putat, Patuk Region, Gunung Kidul Regency. Gumawang is one of the villages known for its wood crafts. Woodcraft is a source of livelihood for residents of Gumawang. A large number of wood products there made some young people in Gumawang Hamlet choose to work processing wood natural resources into high-value products. This original production of processed wood from the Gumawang Hamlet has penetrated the international market. The proposed partner is named UKM Tunas Karya. UKM Tunas Karya is engaged in the productive economy. Tunas Karya UKM has 14 members who are all residents of Gumawang Hamlet. The products produced from UKM Tunas Karya are in the form of educational game masks and souvenirs. The problem with UKM Tunas Karya is that the process of drying wood is often hampered during the rainy season and marketing relies only on collectors. The batik process is still carried out by outsiders. The purpose of this service is to help solve the problems in UKM Tunas Karya. The results of this community service activity are the formation of a wood drying machine, the creation of UKM Tunas Karya marketing media and also the leaflet design for UKM.
