Pelatihan pembuatan olahan kulit pepaya di Padukuhan Padokan Lor, Tirtonirmolo, Kasihan, Bantul

Abstract


Processing papaya fruit in Padukuhan Padokan Lor, Tirtonirmilo into geplak pepaya produces waste which is papaya peel. Papaya peel from geplak pepaya production has only been thrown away. This program aims to make papaya peel into food product and provide training on food packaging. The method used in this programs are counseling or discourse and direct practice by participant. The first activity is discourse about the benefits of papaya and then making processed papaya peel. Clean papaya peel will be chopped and put into cheese stick dough then will be fried. Processed papaya peel is named Papa Stick. The second activity is training food packaging and Papa Stick packing simulation. After this training, the community of Padukuhan Padokan Lor can process papaya waste become food product that have a economic value and increase their productivity.
