Pelatihan senam irama gerak dasar Tapak Suci untuk meningkatkan motorik kasar anak usia dini

Abstract

Early childhood’s gross motor skills need to be stimulated to support optimal holistic development. Various methods were developed and applied in PAUD to support the maturity of gross motor of children. Rhythmic gymnastic is one method for stimulating gross motor that combines music with harmonious movements. In general, rhythmic gymnastics using rhythmic basic body movements. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the teachers at PAUD to rhythmic exercises using Tapak Suci basic movements. Tapak Suci itself is a martial arts sport in Muhammadiyah, so that Tapak Suci can be introduced early. This activity was carried out during 4 meetings with theoretical material content (children's motor development & teacher pedagogical competence), demonstrations and direct practice of rhythmic gymnastics with the basic movements of Tapak Suci. The activity was attended by 30 PAUD teachers and the practice of rhythmic gymnastics was guided by a certified Tapak Suci trainer. The observed result of this activity is that participants showed enthusiasm in following the gymnastics movement. Participants show positive expressions such as laughing and smiling. Participants also followed the movement seriously and were able to practice the rhythmic gymnastic movements in groups.
