Pemberdayaan keluarga POKDARWIS kawasan wisata Puncak Becici Pedukuhan Karang Asem, melalui pelatihan olahan nanas

Abstract

Padukuhan Karang Asem, Muntuk, Dlingo, Bantul are in the Puncak Becici Tourism Area, and the Pinus Forest is quite famous, because it is currently visited by many tourists. To support the Padukuhan Tourism sector, it has not yet produced processed food products that can be used as souvenirs for Muntuk. Whereas in the pine forest area, pineapple trees grow wild and fertile. If the harvest time of pineapple is abundant, it is unfortunate that many are wasted. In addition to pineapples around the houses of residents there are also banana, ginger, jackfruit and other medicinal plants, but the existing commodities have not been used optimally by residents, the classic reason being mothers do not yet have the knowledge to process it and do not have adequate equipment to process products that can be sold. Therefore, the people of Padukuhan Karangasem Muntuk, need training to be able to process these local commodities and their equipment. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge, increase participation, active role and skills of mothers in utilizing local commodities, in order to produce a variety of superior products that will support the tourism sector and increase family income. The results of the training activities that have been carried out on a scheduled basis to process pineapple, show that mothers who have been given training, understand how to process pineapple, will also try to produce and will sell in the tourist area of the pine forest as a souvenir of the Karangasem Pokdarwis.
