Abstract

Processing activities for used cooking oil have been carried out by the waste bank. The processing was very simple, namely by filtering oil using a cloth. After that the filtered used cooking oil is sold to an oil processing factory in Bantul. If the waste bank is able to do a better screening process, the economic value of used cooking oil can also be obtained more. The public still did not understand that used cooking oil was a type of waste that is quite dangerous when disposed of in waterways. In addition, lack of knowledge of its economic value makes people not use this type of waste. Community service activities will focus on two issues. The first problem was the lack of community knowledge and understanding of used cooking oil. The second was about how to use used cooking oil using a very simple filtering method that increases value added through the selling price. Where the current used cooking oil is still cheap and the profitability of the waste bank has not reached the expected target.
