Pembuatan dan pelatihan aplikasi teknologi informasi untuk pembelajaran sikap tanggap bencana pada SD Muhammadiyah di Kecamatan Moyudan Kabupaten Sleman

Abstract

Geographically, Indonesia is an archipelago located at the confluence of four tectonic plates, namely the Asian Continent, the Australian Continent, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. In the southern and eastern parts of Indonesia there are volcanic belts (volcanic arcs) that extend from the islands of Sumatra, Java, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, the sides of which are old volcanic mountains and lowlands which are partly dominated by swamps. This condition is very potential and at the same time prone to disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and landslides. Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is a province that has a high category of natural disasters based on disaster prone maps by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). In 2006 an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale had occurred in DIY and claimed thousands of lives. Moreover in DIY there is also Mount Merapi, which is the most active mountain in Indonesia. In this community service activity Information Technology applications are developed as learning media for disaster response attitudes and disaster mitigation efforts for elementary school students. Types of natural disasters being studied include floods / tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes and fires. Aside from producing applications, this community service activity also organizes training and mentoring for Muhammadiyah elementary school teachers.
