Abstract

The Competitive Service Program in Banjarsari Village, Gajah Subdistrict, Demak Regency aims to embody the role of POLINES from the output of a superior service strategy plan on renewable energy and environmental engineering in a more real way in Banjarsari Village, Gajah Subdistrict, Demak Regency is a large contributor of waste. Garbage will have a negative impact on the village environment to be smelly and dirty. In addition to spreading on village outskirts, garbage in Banjarsari Village also runs along the residents' roads. This results in unclean roads and if left unchecked it will have a negative impact on the environment especially Banjarsari Village, Gajah District, Demak Regency. Therefore it is necessary to develop technology for processing waste that can produce biogas as a renewable energy that can be developed so that it benefits the rural population. The use of this waste management method is not only "handling" but also has a use value / benefit as renewable energy and liquid waste that comes out of the digester is used and the sludge is used by organic fertilizer. This technology can reduce pollutant solids ranging from 75-90%. The method used in the implementation of this competitive service program is by means of socialization, the application of waste processing technology to renewable energy with anaerobic method using BIOSAM digester, the technology used is simple, easy to practice with relatively inexpensive and easily available equipment and assistance to be sustainable. In addition, alternative methods of waste management with economic value that can produce biogas as renewable energy are also sought. Then assistance and monitoring and evaluation are carried out for success towards an energy independent village. The technology produced in the form of a BIOSAM digester that produces methane gas which is a renewable energy from the results of the recycle concept applied in the waste treatment process is very beneficial for the community, because in addition to organic waste being handled well, renewable energy sources can also be produced. Due to the garbage that can be handled, it causes the village to become clean and ready to carry out energy independence around the homes of the residents towards Desa Mandiri Energy. Output in the form of ISSN publications in national journals, mass media publication, TTG.
