Edukasi Kesehatan Dan Skrining Tingkat Risiko Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Pada Masayrakat RT 01, 02 dan 04 Dusun Cepokojajar Kabupaten Bantul

Abstract


Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a global epidemic problem which if not handled seriously will result in an increase in the impact of losses, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. The results of Riskesdas show that the prevalence of DM sufferers in Indonesia has increased from 6.9% in 2013 to 8.5% in 2018. Bantul is one of five districts in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. The pattern of outpatient visits to Puskesmas in Bantul from year to year shows a significant increase in Diabetes mellitus in recent years. This community service aims to provide information about DM in Cepokojajar, Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta to determine the risk of DM, as well as to increase knowledge about Diabetes Militus and the skills to regulate diet to maintain blood sugar levels. This community service was carried out by giving the Indonesian version of the FINDRISC (Finnish Diabetes Risk Score) questionnaire which was carried out to a number of respondents, namely the indigenous people of Cepokojajar, Bantul, Daerah Ostimewa Yogyakarta who were in accordance with the criteria of respondents that had been determined. The counseling method is given through the provision of a DM pocket book and its maintenance which will be used as an educational tool for the community, practically it can be taken wherever and wherever it is. In PPM activities, direct counseling is also provided for DM sufferers who are at greater risk of being infected with the Covid 19 virus through a covid 19 health pocket book, hand sanitizers and masks. PPM Activities followed by the community of RT 01, 02 and 04 Dusun Cepokojajar amounted to 45 people, with 13 (28.89%) male and 32 (71.11%) female. The mean age of the people who participated was 52.33 ± 10.91 years. The results of interviews using the Indonesian version of the FINDRISC questionnaire showed that the people of RT 01, 02 and 04 Dusun Cepokojajar who have a low risk level of DM are 37 people (82.22%), 2 people (4.44%) have a moderate risk level, and a high risk level of 6 people. people (13.33%). The results of the Mann Whitney analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between a history of taking high blood pressure drugs (p = 0.010), a history of high blood sugar (p = 0.000), and a family history of diabetes mellitus (p = 0.012) with a risk level for type 2 diabetes mellitus.
