Edukasi cegah kelelahan mata dari pengaruh gadget selama Work From Home (WFH)

Abstract


During the Covid-19 pandemic, the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia took a policy to carry out work activities and the teaching and learning process from home (WFH / SFH) this step was taken to reduce the rate of spread of Covid-19 in the world of education. Along with the implementation of the WFH / SFH policy, the use of gadgets continues to increase to meet the needs of daily activities. This has the potential to cause eye fatigue complaints (eye strain) due to an increase in the intensity of time of use and an inappropriate position in using the gadget. So it is necessary to do education in order to increase knowledge to maintain eye health from the influence of gadgets during WFH / SFH. This activity aims to increase knowledge of the correct use of smartphones and computers and prevent eye strains in teachers, parents and students while implementing WFH / SFH. This activity was attended by 68 participants consisting of teachers, private workers, online entrepreneurs, students, students and the general public in Muara Jawa Village, Sanga-Sanga District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. The method used is the socialization lecture method through the presentation of material from the resource persons which is carried out online through the ZOOM Meeting application with a question and answer discussion technique in the form of a webinar. The results obtained were that there was an increase in the knowledge of the participants after attending the material presentation which was carried out online.
