Pengenalan media bahan ajar praktikum jarak jauh kepada guru MGMP Biologi SMA/MA Kota Yogyakarta di masa pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic requires all teachers in Indonesia to think innovatively in improving the teaching and learning process. Teachers are required to increase creativity with a distance learning model, including Biology lessons at the SMA / MA level. Alternative media that can be accessed properly by both teachers and students are needed in achieving the basic competencies of students' knowledge and skills. This community service activity aims to provide biology teachers with ideas so that they can create appropriate and interactive learning media that will be used in the distance learning model. Knowledge from experts accompanied by joint discussion activities is expected to motivate teachers to integrate theory and practice in biology lessons. This activity succeeded in bringing together 42 biology teachers who are members of the MGMP Biologi Kota Yogyakarta. A series of activities were held in September 2020 using the Zoom platform. The result of this community service activity shows that the knowledge of teachers to develop innovative distance learning media is increasing. Laboratory module and video guide can be used as practical material in supporting biotechnology learning in schools.
