Pelatihan cipta cerita anak berbasis kearifan lokal bagi guru paud se-Kabupaten Gunungkidul

Abstract


One of the characters that can be instilled in children's stories is characters based on local wisdom. A child is expected to be able to have competitiveness in the global arena without losing his or her identity. In fact, it is rarely found in children's stories because there is an assumption that children's stories prioritize fantasy. Therefore, this service in the form of story creation training aims to improve the skills of PAUD teachers in Gunungkidul Regency to create children's stories based on local wisdom. The method used in this service is by providing training, mentoring, structured assignments and evaluations to these PAUD teachers. The material provided is in the form of understanding children's story techniques, local wisdom, Indonesian spelling, and determining the theme of the story. After getting the material, participants gathered to practice directly making children's stories which were then collected and published in an anthology of children's story books. The activity was held from August-November followed by 42 participants. The impacts of these activities include (1) the skills of teachers in writing children's stories are increasing, (2) Teachers have works in the form of anthologies of children's stories, (3) PAUD schools in Gunungkidul now have teaching materials for children's stories based on local wisdom.
