Peningkatan kapasitas guru SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT

Abstract


The conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic have affected various sectors of life, one of which is the education sector. This condition requires educational institutions to be able to implement Information Technology (IT) -based education by applying the basic concepts of the teaching technology domain. In online learning, teachers are required to be able to develop learning media based on ICT (Information Technology and Communication) and apply it to the online learning system. The problem faced by SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta is that not all teachers have the ability to develop ICT-based learning media. This community service program activity aims to increase the capacity of SMA Muhammadiyah 7 teachers in developing learning media based on ICT, especially in making instructional videos. This method of implementing community service consists of several stages consisting of socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The implementation of this community service activity was carried out in a span of 4 months, starting from July to October 2020. This activity has had an impact on partners in the form of increased understanding and skills of SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta teachers in making learning videos by 70.9%. This training has also produced instructional videos from each teacher who participated in the training and is ready to be used in online learning.
