Pemberdayaan kelompok sebaya : lindungi masa depan anak dari rokok

Abstract


Peer groups are a form of implementation of the smoke-free school program in schools. The existence of peer groups in schools is an effort to prevent and control smoking behavior in adolescents. This service activity aims to increase the knowledge of adolescents in peer counseling. In this way, peer groups can help protect the child's future from being caught in smoking. The method of implementing community service activities is a question and answer lecture discussion. The participants of the activity were 10 students of MTS N 3 Sleman. The service activities were carried out in the MTS N 3 Sleman hall by following the standard health protocol. The material presented is about e-cigarettes and its dangers and the role of peer groups. Supporters of activities in collaboration with the Tobacco Impact Control Working Group of the The Indonesian Public Health Association DIY Regional Government and The Indonesian Society for Health Promotor and Educator Sleman Branch. Participants can participate in activities well, as evidenced by the increase in understanding of participants based on the results of the questionnaire (pre test and post test). Peer group empowerment needs to be held regularly to support the smoke-free school declaration program in schools.
